Driving Restraint installed at New Langton Arts. San Francisco, CA 1998. The the three race car safety harnesses were attached to the wall using a system of mounts and turnbuckles. The turnbuckles were tightened to the point that all three harnesses became a single unit sprung tightly under maximum tension. If anyone had turned the safety quick release on any harness the system of belts would have dramatically collapsed. No one touched the release mechanism during the exhibition.
